The city of Delhi is separated into many districts but better known as having two parts, New Delhi and Old Delhi. New Delhi holds some of the most beautiful landmarks in India, from the Indian Gate to Rashtrapati Bhoven and the Parliament House. New Delhi boasts some of the most interesting and architecturally inspired temples in the world. Pushing the limits of spiritual architectural design is the Lotus Temple, designed to look like an opening Lotus Flower, drawing many tourists a year, as does the Lakshmi Narayan Temple which is well worth the visit. In New Delhi you will find a wonderful array of museums, temples, memorials, and top designer shops. Old Delhi is well worth a day of exploration, filled with old world charm, small poky people filled streets, wonderfully old buildings, bazaars filled with produce, clothing & crafts. Delhi would also be the place to stay to travel further afield to visit one of the landmarks that has made the wonders of the world lists many times, The Taj Mahal which is located in Agra.
